Xena is a five year-old active girl who loves her toys and her people. She loves to cuddle on the cold days, destuff toys, and chewing on her bone or licking every morsel out of her Kong. She is potty trained, but needs training on basic commands. Xena is eager to please, and is very treat motivated. Xena loves all the attention on her. She needs the right loving family to provide her guidance, training, patience and love. She would be a welcome addition to any family. She is being fostered in Kenosha, WI and working on those basic commands.

We are a volunteer run, nonprofit group whose primary mission is to help with the rescue and placement of Weimaraners in the Great Lakes region – including MI, OH, IL, IN and WI.

GLWR is a foster based rescue organization and does not have a traditional physical kennel facility like many humane societies or animal shelters. Our dogs are typically housed in family homes and cared for by their foster families until we find a forever home for them. Therefore, our process to meet dogs and to adopt may be different than a normal animal control facility, humane society or animal shelter. We work hard to match each dog with their perfect forever home.
