Willow Rose

Hi! My Name Is Willow Rose

I'm Available

Willow Rose is a two-year old female blue Weim. Spayed and updated on shots. Willow has taken well to the in-ground electric fence and stays in the yard just fine even when other critters are just outside of reach. Willow has an average Weimenergy level during the day and settles down at night. She is crate trained for bedtime. She gets mild to moderate anxiety when left alone. She does well when with other dogs and she shows minimal anxiety around them. She does well with free ranging throughout the house and outside although the typical Weim counter surfing is evident. Her previous owner reported anxiety related urine piddling, but I have not seen that, although she is with the other dogs so I think she is much less anxious with other dogs around. She will do fine by herself, but may be better suited to have a furry friend in the home as well.

Personality: Willow is an outgoing girl who becomes comfortable quickly. She shows a lot of affection by coming to get pets and kisses and will return the kisses often. She will startle (bark) with unexpected noises/experiences but calms with reassurance.

Temperament: Willow is a loving girl who will quickly capture the heart of her new owner. She tends to be a bit of a barker, however correct easily with the leave it command. I suspect that she will outgrow this with continued training and another year of maturity. She is a well-tempered 2-year-old female Weim that is very smart and quick to learn.

Likes and dislikes: Willow loves to chase after critters outside and will watch diligently through the windows to see if anything is coming into her yard. Loves to play fetch (sticks) and has excellent manners when playing fetch with other brothers and sisters. Does very well with walking on a leash. Perfect manners when accepting treats. She has plenty of chew bones that keep her busy throughout the day. Without these, she will find something else to use that energy on which may be a little more destructive.

History: She will do fine with other medium to large breed dogs.  She was clearly well loved by her previous owner. She does not do well with small children who don’t have a solid understanding of boundaries. Would not recommend for a family with children under the age of 10.

Compatibility: Willow gets along with other medium to large breed dogs. Willow should do fine with mature kids over the age of 10.

Ideal home: Willow would be best suited in a home where her humans are home most of the time if she is the only dog. She will do fine in a home alone with other dogs present.

Storytelling: It took Willow about two days before feeling safe and secure in a loving home setting, her loving personality came shining through. She loves her belly rubs, cuddle time, bones and sticks to chew, and of course treats. She loves taking car rides.

Call to action: Beautiful Willow Rose would love to be your new friend! Willow will gaze lovingly into your eyes while you pet her. She knows commands sit, stay, down, park it, come, leave it, and of course….NO!
