Hi, I’m Stella!

I am a 9yo petite Weim weighing approx 50 pounds. I walk well on a leash and do good in my ‘coop’ for short periods and meals. I get along with other dogs and I am getting along great with my foster Weim sister, Bella. No need to buy me toys or bones, I am happiest keeping you company and following you around.

I am looking for a quiet home with lots of love to give. I am a quiet and thoughtful girl, who once you get to know me I will shower you with affection and nonstop cuddles. I am happy to spend my days sleeping in, lounging on the couch and looking for a warm body to snuggle.

We are a volunteer run, nonprofit group whose primary mission is to help with the rescue and placement of Weimaraners in the Great Lakes region – including MI, OH, IL, IN and WI.

GLWR is a foster based rescue organization and does not have a traditional physical kennel facility like many humane societies or animal shelters. Our dogs are typically housed in family homes and cared for by their foster families until we find a forever home for them. Therefore, our process to meet dogs and to adopt may be different than a normal animal control facility, humane society or animal shelter. We work hard to match each dog with their perfect forever home.
