Meet Sammie – Your Loyal, Gentle Shadow
Sammie is an 8-year-old, tall, elegant gray Weimaraner with a heart as soft as her cuddles. This sweet girl thrives on being close to her person—whether that’s curling into a perfect little ball beside you in bed or snuggling up on the couch. Wherever you are, she’ll happily be your shadow.
Sammie walks nicely on a leash and has an easy-going temperament. She doesn’t bark much, and when she does alert you to someone at the door, she settles quickly once reassured. She’s fully housebroken and has done great being left alone for a full workday.
While Sammie isn’t big on toys, she loves her special blanket and “nurses” on it for comfort. She knows “sit” and “lay down” and, being a smart girl, will learn more commands with patience and positive reinforcement. Her history suggests she may have lived in a competitive environment with other dogs, so she’ll do best as the only dog in the home where she can finally relax and feel secure.
She does enjoy helping herself to tasty things within reach, so a counter-clear home is ideal. Sammie gets along wonderfully with people, and though she hasn’t been around children in her current home, her gentle nature suggests she may do well with respectful kids.
Sammie is up to date on all vaccinations, including her rabies shot in November.
