Ritchie is a handsome, neutered, 8 years young Weimaraner who loves being a part of a family. While he’s a gentle soul, he shows no loyalty if you have treats or providing attention. Richie is a smart, gentle soul, who wants to be near his people and follow you around. He walks well on a leash and travels well. If you looking for a moderately active companion, who listens well and is looking for love, Richie is just may be your perfect addition to your family.

We are a volunteer run, nonprofit group whose primary mission is to help with the rescue and placement of Weimaraners in the Great Lakes region – including MI, OH, IL, IN and WI.

GLWR is a foster based rescue organization and does not have a traditional physical kennel facility like many humane societies or animal shelters. Our dogs are typically housed in family homes and cared for by their foster families until we find a forever home for them. Therefore, our process to meet dogs and to adopt may be different than a normal animal control facility, humane society or animal shelter. We work hard to match each dog with their perfect forever home.
