Meet Peanut! ?
Peanut is a sweet and calm 2-year-old Weimaraner who is ready to find her forever home. With her friendly demeanor and affectionate nature, she’s sure to bring warmth and joy to any family.
Key Highlights:
Gentle and Affectionate: Peanut is a big fan of snuggling, especially during nap time! She's a loving companion who enjoys being near her people. While she’s likely great with children (though we haven’t tested her directly), she’s not overly rambunctious and prefers a relaxed pace.
Dog-Friendly: Peanut gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She enjoys playtime with her friends Yogi and Kona, but is also respectful of others, like Zeus, whom she prefers to leave alone. Peanut would be equally happy in a home as the only dog or with a canine sibling. (Her cat compatibility is still a mystery!)
Walks & Leash Skills: Peanut walks fairly well on a leash, though she can get a little excited when she spots critters or other dogs. She may pull a bit, but nothing too forceful. Her natural curiosity and Weimaraner instincts make her love being outdoors!
Prosthetic Eye: Peanut may have a prosthetic eye, but it doesn’t bother her at all! She’s adapted wonderfully to her new look and is able to catch treats thrown to her "good" side with no problem. She doesn't need any special care or medications for it.
Training & Behavior: Peanut has had some basic obedience training, and she knows commands like "sit," "down," and "shake." She’s a smart and eager learner! While she has mild separation anxiety, she doesn’t chew on furniture or belongings when left alone. There may be some barking when she’s left or when you return, but she’s learning to feel more confident.
