Major is a very loving and playful little pup. He is a weimaraner/german shepherd cross, known as a weimshepherd. He can be nibbly but is learning not to bite too hard. He is house trained and is even learning to use potty bells! He knows basic commands including sit, stay (over a minute!), come, lie down, stand, spin, go through (his toy tunnel). He is easy to train, eager to please and food motivated.
He was originally obtained from a backyard breeder who did not raise her puppies well. He had fleas and several other infections, but is healthy now. He has had hip x-rays and the veterinarian said that his hip sockets are appropriately deep to indicate he does not have hip dysplasia.
We are giving him up because we do not have the time to give him the attention he needs. He does need some extra training learning to get over his fears. Right now his biggest fear is other dogs, and he also does not like riding in the car. He used to be afraid of the outside, but he got over it with BAT. We would like his future owners to find a BAT-educated trainer to help him continue to build confidence.
