Huxley is a 6 year old blue male currently being fostered in Grand Rapids Michigan. Hux is one of 27 dogs seized from a home in Northern Michigan in November 2020. As such, he's discovering what it means to be in a loving home with food, water and toys to play with. Huxley's foster family has been working on some basic training and is happy to report that he understands "sit" and "no" and also goes into his crate nicely. Huxley is a strong boy weighing in at 80 lbs and pulls quite a bit on his leash. Huxley would be best as an only dog in the home and one without children under 16 and cats. Huxley loves to play with toys and go for car rides. He also likes to play ball in the backyard. He's only been in his foster home for a few months and come a long way, but he's fearful of meeting new people, and is being crated anytime a visitor comes to the home Huxley's owner will need previous Weim or large dog breed experience who can commit to helping Huxley become the great dog he has the potential to be. Patience and positive reinforcement will be needed and of course - time.
