Hollis Brown is a 2 year old silver male Weimaraner with a beautiful long tail. He came to GLWR as a stray. Hollis has been in living with his foster family for a month now and has come a long way. Hollis hasn't had much in his short life which is likely why he exhibits resource guarding behavior. Happy to report that with some time, Hollis is responsive to "trading up" whatever he is guarding for for pieces of baked chicken and hot dog slices. Because of this, Hollis needs a home with humans no younger than 15. Hollis seems to do well with big dogs & is not a fan of small dogs and cats. He has a high prey drive. Hollis Brown has lots of energy and needs both leash walks and soccer ball time DAILY. Hollis prefers his foster dad, but loves his other pack members. Hollis Brown loves going hiking, car rides, and a "good" drive-thru with something in it for him! Hollis crates during the day while the family is working and at school. Hollis loves to play and seems to thrive with the routine of a household. Best if Hollis is in a single-dog home as he does not like to share beds or toys. Hollis' adopters must be prepared for a minimum of 1.5 hours of full on exercise/play per day - every day.
