Connor

Hi! My Name Is Connor

We're happy to tell you that Connor has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

This little puppy is full of energy and has a bright and curious personality. He enjoys meeting people and
getting pets and ear scratches. Connor is super friendly and confident. Also friendly with dogs...and he likes to rough-house - a little like WWF on a Saturday night! For this reason - only homes with previous Weim experience - another dog in the home and children over 10 years of age will be considered for approval to adopt Connor. Adopters should also be separation anxiety savvy- and the do's and don'ts - to prevent this condition from escalating.

Connor is 7 months and already weighs 50 pounds. He is doing great with his housetraining, but will need someone to continue helping him to perfect it. He is crate trained although he whines some, but does not destroy his bedding. He has a low prey drive and can be a little mouthy occasionally - which is very typical for Weim puppies. Connor is a pleasure to walk on a leash. He is a velcro dog and prefers to be near his person(s). He is still learning obedience skills, but has mastered "sit" and "down". He doesn't like being alone and barks when crated and the humans leave.  A Kong-filled with frozen peanut butter does keep him busy and quiet in his crate.
Connor is very food motivated, he gulps his meal down and then tries to steal from the other
dogs.  He needs a "lazy feeder bowl".  He has shown interest in playing fetch, which is a great way to burn off puppy energy. Connor also really enjoys taking naps and snuggling up close to his human. When out in the yard, Connor will grab sticks and landscape mulch then chew and
swallow it, so all outdoor activity must be monitored very closely. Connor needs a minimum of 1.5 to two hours of daily outdoor exercise- Non-negotiable. If you have all the needs Connor requires, please fill out an application today.
