Cleo is a wild and wonderful beautiful blue 13 month old who is playful and eager to please! She loves a good game of fetch and playing keep away from her siblings. Her favorite place is cuddled next to you, or on you, after a good day of play. She doesn’t mind hanging out in her crate next to her siblings if you need to leave the house for awhile and will greet you with a rapid wag of her full and lovely tail. Cleo has been making progress on being reactive to having her feet and collar touched and has some minimal food resource guarding. An environment without young children and a playful sibling are a must for this young lady. Cleo is being fostered in Massillon, Ohio.

We are a volunteer run, nonprofit group whose primary mission is to help with the rescue and placement of Weimaraners in the Great Lakes region – including MI, OH, IL, IN and WI.

GLWR is a foster based rescue organization and does not have a traditional physical kennel facility like many humane societies or animal shelters. Our dogs are typically housed in family homes and cared for by their foster families until we find a forever home for them. Therefore, our process to meet dogs and to adopt may be different than a normal animal control facility, humane society or animal shelter. We work hard to match each dog with their perfect forever home.
