Baron “Bear”

Hi! My Name Is Baron “Bear”

We're happy to tell you that Baron “Bear” has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Bear is currently being fostered in Willoughby, Ohio, where he has enjoyed a fenced in yard with two other male dogs.  He is crate trained but is able to free roam during the days and at night without incident - Bear is such a good boy!  When it’s time for bed, he readily goes upstairs - he currently snuggles in bed with his foster mom and doesn’t move until morning. When he sees his foster mom getting ready to leave for work, he puts himself in his crate!

He gets along well with his two foster brothers but is selective when other dogs arrive for a play day. He is not a huge fan of puppies and would prefer a slower-paced home. He is definitely a couch potato and just wants to be close to his person/people. He loves his squeaky toys and tennis balls!  He could chase them for quite a while inside or outside. He is active when he wants to be but quickly settles down for a nap after a bit of playtime. He could be an only dog or a part of a pack.

He has really slimmed down since arriving at his foster home - losing about 15 pounds!  He is still a strong boy! Bear knows simple commands (sit, leave it, etc.) and is a good listener - when it’s time to come inside, he comes right away. He is an amazing boy who will make an excellent companion for a single person or a family, with older children.
