Zeus is an adult Weimaraner that is in need of a home. He is both willful and mindful. He is currently in need of a weight loss program, but would make a nice walking companion so would lose weight quite easily in a home willing to work with him. Like most Weims he is very affectionate. He never messes his kennel but he has shredded bedding, although he is not likely to do that at home. Zeus needs a strong owner that will teach him proper obedience. Zeus is being fostered in West Olive, MI.

We are a volunteer run, nonprofit group whose primary mission is to help with the rescue and placement of Weimaraners in the Great Lakes region – including MI, OH, IL, IN and WI.

GLWR is a foster based rescue organization and does not have a traditional physical kennel facility like many humane societies or animal shelters. Our dogs are typically housed in family homes and cared for by their foster families until we find a forever home for them. Therefore, our process to meet dogs and to adopt may be different than a normal animal control facility, humane society or animal shelter. We work hard to match each dog with their perfect forever home.
