Apollo has certainly come a long way in the several months we've fostered him. He was a hot mess when he arrived - very anxious and fearful of so much. Like many of us, Apollo suffers from seasonal allergies that can be relieved by taking a pill. While a daily dose of prozac has definitely helped this lovely boy, we've slowly introduced Apollo to some wonderful experiences to show him that the world isn't such a scary place. Apollo has learned several tricks which earn him delicious snacks as rewards. He likes to hide his bones and rawhides in between the couch cushions and he always seems shocked when he finds them! The perfect home for this senior boy would be with a single person or couple who either work from home or is retired. Apollo walks very well on a leash and certainly enjoys his daily neighborhood strolls. (We swear he has a wristwatch hidden somewhere in our home because he certainly tells us when we are 5 minutes late for "walkies"). Apollo would do well in a home as a solo dog, or with another low-energy canine. Apollo likes attention, but is not a cuddler. If there are children in the home; they should be teenaged, and visiting grandchildren should be older and respectful. Apollo rides well in the car, especially if there's an impending visit to a drive-through for chicken nuggets or puppachinos. This senior boy deserves a quiet home life where he can play with his squeaky toys and enjoy daily walks with his people.
